First EOTD :)

Hey everyone!
I recently purchased a VOV 98-in-1 eye shadow palette and was very inspired to do a nice eye make up. Today I tried my best to come up with a nice EOTD post but alas! I still can't perfect (or come anywhere close to) getting it right :( Please excuse the oily looking face and not-so-good eye make up and please don't laugh :D :(. I've been in a purpley mood off late so decided to do purple eye make up. Theres actually some gold that I tried to add in to make it a purple and gold eye make up, but again that didn't work out too well -_- The main reason I am putting them up is because I will have to try harder to perfect it since everyone has seen how bad it is :D I am a really lazy person you see :D. Also, sorry for the change in brightness in both the pictures, I couldn't manage to get them both under the same light.
*Skips ahead to the pictures to avoid further humiliation* :D

I will improve and definitely put up a picture perfect EOTD one day (this year only lol)
Thank you for cooperating :D

Revlon Colorstay Sparkling Eyeliner Review

Hey everyone!
Today I will be reviewing Revlon's Colorstay eyeliner in Black Sparkle. I have a sudden obsession with eye pencils and I've always loved sparkly things so both together are a dream :D

Price: Rs.470

I bought this pencil a long time ago but it was just lying there for sometime in my cupboard because of my temporary addiction with nail polishes instead lol.

The eye pencil is black in colour with a nice glitter with it. The texture of the pencil is veryy smooth and glides on the eyelids without a problem. But the fact that it is so creamy makes the pencil nib break very easily. And since the pencil is not a retractable one, sharpening it just makes the pencil finish faster. And sharpening makes the pencil uneven with my Lakme sharpener so using it on my eyelids after sharpening it hurts my eyes :(

The black is dark but not jet black at all. But the pigmentation darkens with more swipes. The colour lasts for about 6 hours on my oily eyelids but it is not at all waterproof. Once the colour settles, it is smudgeproof as well.

Left: 1 swipe, Right: 3 swipes

Not at all waterproof. No no for rainy days :(
It passes the smudge test. Yay!

Pros:
- Lovely colour
- Creamy texture

Cons:
- Tends to break easily and sharpening it is not easy
- Not at all smudge proof

Yay or nay to recommend:
If you have a Revlon sharpener, yes it's amazing :D

My shopping experience with koovs.com

Hey lovelies! :)
I'm really sorry for not posting in over a week.. exams really take up all your time! Anyway I'm done at last yippee! Coming to the post..
How many times have you had to pay extra for a plastic bag while shopping? Have you tried fitting the stuff you've bought into your already full bag? Never? Err.. me neither :D. Just kidding! I always do that.. also coz I end up having wayyy too many plastic covers at home. Grrrr! So when I saw Bharti's post from Crazy Pop Lock about a reusable and fancy foldable bag, I just had to buy it! I found it on Koovs.com on major discount so ordered it. The company that makes this is called Envirosax and they have some lovely patterns.

According to their site, "Envirosax's motto is to spread the idea of eco-friendliness in style. Cheap chic never looked this good - it now comes with a green message! Tired of paying extra for a polythene bag everytime you buy something? Stuff an Envirosax bag into your hold-all and dump all your purchases into this handy, flexi bag. Don't be fooled by its wafer-thin upper, it can hold up to 20 kgs (it's tested for strength and safety). Think it can't get any better? This bag is washable and won't fade (brand's guarantee!) Quirky, contemporary graphics on the upper make us want more than just one of these!".
I placed an order for these immediately after seeing it and I recieved my order 2 days later. Very impressed with their prompt service. They even gave a bag with the package in case we want to return the product. I will definitely repurchase from this website.

Price: Rs.490 but I bought it on discount at Rs.245 :) It's still on discount so you can hurry and place your order! They have some reaaaallyy lovely designs.. wanted to pick up more!

The bag is small and compact and can easily fit into any purse.

The bag when fully opened. Really pretty isn't it? :)

Have you shopped from them before? :) Did you like it too? :)

Nivea Happy Time Body Lotion Review

Hey beautiful :)
I love lotions. They help my dry skin so much and smell so good too! I've heard a lot about Nivea's Happy Time lotion so decided to pick it up and see how it is for myself.

Price: Rs.95
Quantity: 75 ml

The shape of the bottle is just like Lakme's fruit moisture range. The shape helps in getting better grip on the bottle. The packaging is simple and very sturdy. It is travel friendly. The lotion Blaine to be long-lasting feel-good sensation with bamboo milk. I'm not sure what that is supposed to smell like but the lotion smells really good. I think Nivea has a signature scent and this is is a warm baby like scent. I like it :)
The lotion comes out of the bottle easily and glides on skin like butter! It is not a thick consistency so it works well as a morning lotion. I do not feel greasy one bit after using this and it absorbs within a minute. The scent lasts for about 5 hours after application, but I guess that's reasonable considering the fact that it moisturises well. They claim to give 24hr moisturization, and I do not feel the need to reapply the lotion the entire day. I think this is an ideal lotion to use during the winters. But it contains parabens and no spf for those beauties that are conscious about them :(

Pros:
-Works great
-Smells good
-Travel friendly

Cons:
-Contains parabens
-No SPF

Yay or nay to recommend:
If you don't mind parabens and the lack of spf, yes! It works great :)

Passion Indulge Sea Breeze body lotion review

Hello!
I'm currently obsessed with body lotions and  am purchasing anything I see that looks good :D
My best friend's birthday is coming up and I decided to give her a gift basket so I went shopping to buy stuff to put in it. The initial plan was to get her Vaseline's Cocoa Glow but the SA told me that Passion Indulge's lotions are really good, and the packaging was cute enough to convince me to :D
I saw 3 variants at the store - Strawberry, Papaya and Sea Breeze. I found the last one to be most interesting as I've never had a lotion like that before so picked it up for myself. There are about 9 varieties though. They also have shower gels, bath oils and other aromatherapy items. A little something about the lotions from their website: " Your skin is under constant assault. Weather, stress, environmental factors, diet and even lack of sleep can all leave your skin looking and feeling tired dry, dull or troubled. Adequate skin dehydration is the key to healthy, beautiful skin. All our lotions are carefully designed to protect your skin moisturize it and keep it hydrated. Treat yourself to radiant, healthy skin with our range aroma lotions that help you to enhance your skin's natural sheilding abilities. Our range of Aroma body lotions help you to feel pampered cared for all day long! Passion Indulge's winter care body lotion is a highly researched based formula with deep poring and long lasting combination of sweet almond oil, glycerin and moisturizers like shea butter, olive oil, and extract of fruits like strawberry and papaya, which will protect the skin from cold weather and chapped skin & enhances the smoothness of skin texture".

The product packing is lovely! So simple, yet attractive. The bottle is plastic and a brown paper clings on to it with Passion Indulge and other details of the product listed. A small piece of rope (or thread) is around the neck of the bottle, with the variant name printed on it. That is so cute! The lotion is even herbal. It claims: "Herbal Handmade | 100% Vegetarian". Yayyyy herbal products!

Price: Rs.120
Quantity: 100 ml. Bigger bottles also available but I chose the travel friendly one.

Now coming to the review. The Sea Breeze variant is a hydrating lotion. I have never seen or heard of this company before. The bottle is just 100ml (note: the company says it is 100 ml when packed). The lotion comes in a normal bottle, no pump or anything. But I found it really hard to get the lotion out of the bottle at first. I think it took almost a minute!

The consistency of the lotion is slightly on the thicker side. It reminds me of whipped cream. But it is not a disadvantage as I feel it moisturizes and hydrates the skin better this way. The lotion glides on at ease but it takes a while to get absorbed into the skin, more than 2 minutes. I think this is better used as a night cream. My skin does not feel greasy, though it looks like it is till the product totally seeps into my skin. The bottle is small enough to fit into a purse and is travel friendly.

The fragrance of this lotion is the biggest turn on for me. I LOVE the smell! I can't really describe what it smells like, but it does remind me of standing on the sea shore lost in my thoughts. It also reminds me of those nice hotels :D. I think I've started comparing lotions to hotels a bit too much these days lol. The fragrance stays on the skin for about 4-5 hours but the hydration remains. I have not used it on my face so cannot talk about breakouts. The lotion moisturizes well during the winters. I think it is worth the money.

Pros:
- Hydrates skin
- Smells amazing
- Travel friendly
- Herbal and safe

Cons:
Can't think of any!

Yay or nay to recommend?
Yay! Do check out the lotions range, they do exactly what they claim.

My Mumbai Trip :)

Hi all!
Sorry for not posting for a while.. as you know I was in Mumbai these past few days with my relatives. And boy did I have a great time! Couldn't have celebrated my new year any other way :). Ooh this is my first post of 2013 yippee :P

The house that I lived in had an amazing view! You could actually see the city buzzing.. I don't know how clear it is from the picture, but there was a ferris wheel close by (yes, I still like them)

I didn't get too much of time to shop (Read: 2 hrs) but I did manage to get stuff I really liked. I didn't look at any clothing items as I know I can find the same elsewhere too. Here is a picture of the things I bought :)
Oh, I bought 3 more bags but they aren't in the picture. And the white paper in the picture is a painting done on a leaf. I could not open it and take a picture as they have already been sealed to give to my friends :(

I will show you proper detailed pictures of the stuff in LOTDs and other such posts.

I finally went to the much hyped Starbucks and ordered a coffee. I must say it does live up to the hype, though it is veryyyy similar to Cafe Coffee Day. This is better :). Also, I love the cup they gave it in! :)

We spent an evening at Chowpatty beach and the view was so pretty! And oh my what huge crowds gather there past 6! :O

Went for a walk past 12:30, just after the year 2013 began. Love the lighting!

Have a nice day! :)
